after several hours of driving, unpacking and working and trying to catch up on sleep, i finally had time this weekend to go through all my photos and post some of them. after going through and selecting some - i realized i had saved 97 images just from day two and not including any of quagmire’s pics. so the easiest way to view them all is to visit my flickr photo page via the link below. i have included a couple of my favs below and will start on day three’s pic shortly. please remember, all these photos were taken in the car while brandon was going an average of 85 mph, so many of them tend to be blurry. sorry, but that’s the best this amateur photographer can do in those conditions.

Today we drove about 13 hours to get to Park City Utah. We drove on I-80 completely throught the entire states of nebraska and wyoming. and let me tell ya, they are big states. i have to admit nebreska was ultra boring and wyoming offered lots of photo opps. anyhow, after the long day in the car and grabbing some quick food from ruby tuesdays. i have just enough energy to import the images from today to make room to take pics tomorrow. i used approximately 7gb of images in raw which equals about 350 shots in photo cards, so it will take me a minute to select and save out the good shots. i also need to rest up for tomorrow.
we ate breakfast in the hampton inn, ate lunch ate arby’s and had dinner tonight at the ruby tuesday’s next to the wonderful hampton inn we are staying at tonight. nebraska is full of fields, cows and some horses and donkeys. lots of farm houses. no real big towns at all. after awhile it all looks the same and gets old. wyoming. it seems like no one lives there. maybe about 2000 people. a tad bit of cows and farming. lots of very interesting rock terrain and mountains, and some cool energy windmills. our fist attempt at a hotel tonight dropped us off in a shady little town, which b and i thought that if it was the 1800’s, it would be the very shady wild western town that you heard about. needless to say we quickly decided to drive another hour even though we are tired to a nicer spot and once again b’s preferred hampton inn. so far it was definitely worth it. ruby tuesday’s next to us to eat. and no shady lounge, no liquor store and no adult stores are even close to the hotels in park city, let alone sharing the parking lot. will try to post pics soon. night.

after leaving columbus at 10:30 this morning in one day we travelled approximately 800 or so miles to council bluffs iowa which is just at the nebreska and iowa state line. you may ask why we didn’t stay on the road another mile longer in order to completely check iowa off the list, well b has this thing about staying at hampton inns and the hampton inn was in council bluff next to the americana casino and not in omaha. we spent about $171 in gas today, ate dinner at the wendy’s in the iowa 80 - the world’s largest truck stop. here’s a link to their site. the rest of the day we were fine eating all the food and drinks peops gave us to take with us. we saw more farms then you can count, ate jerky and swedish fish. drank coke and water. i did a bunch of puzzles and read magazines. i took lots of photos on b’s good camera. i’ll post those when we get settled. for now i will just post quagmire’s photos. we could go gamble int eh casino now but i think we are too tired.

today is moving day. look at all the crap b and i have to move today.

we are very ambitious - we are loading on the semi today all by ourselves. being that it is a friday, all our family and friends had to work for the man. b’s mom is coming down from c-bus though to help us clean and get us lunch and whatever else we may need. we have a lot to do. i hope i survive. uggg. o fun, the truck just pulled up gotta jet. lata.

he just doesn’t want to move. he’s in denial. so he hides his face from the mess of packing and sleeps.

it takes forever and i hate the mess it makes. in order to pack you have to make a mess by pulling everything out. needless to say it is very tiring to put in a full day’s work and then spend the rest of the night packing. can’t wait until we get to seattle and i can get a healthy 8 hours of sleep at night again.

without my bedroom furniture it feels like a slumber party. sleeping on the floor of an empty room with some loose blankets and pillows on my mattress. i feel like making some popcorn, popping in a movie and making prank calls to all the cute boys i know just like when i was in grade school.

today b and i got a lot completed for our upcoming move.

we got our lease, printed it, had it noterized, got a certified check to pay for the place and got it express mailed back to seattle.

we finished clearing out my bedroom.

we unassembled my huge bedroom furniture set, so Amanda’s sister could pick it up and use it in her new condo. we got all the furniture loaded into a truck and sent it off.

i organized and purged some more. threw more stuff out.

we loaded up the civic and donated a whole car full of stuff.

we ate pizza. took a nap. and then i did some work for awhile before now turning in for the evening at the earliest bedtime i have had all week at 1 am.
