my hoodie tried to commit suicide last night.
so last night i made some nice wholesome healthy brown rice to compliment my chicken for dinner. one would think this should be an easy task these days with all the modern conveniences of minute rice and the invention of the stove. well leave it to me and my hoodie to add some drama. being that it is like 0 degrees outside and i work from home now, i elected to wear a nice thick and comfy hoodie. it treated me well until i had to move the boiling water from the hot burner to a cold one to add the rice and let sit for five minutes. that’s when my drawstring from my hoodie decided to try to take its on life and made contact with the hot burner and decided to smolder and then catch on fire. i did not appreciate this much. it’s stressful to put out a fire that is attached to you. but no worries. as soon as i smelled burning and looked down to see the string ignite, i immediately grabbed it, turned around and placed the drawstring under running water. all ended well. fire immediately went out and except for some char marks and melted plastic on the drawstring, the hoodie is in good shape. no casualties and the brown rice was delicious!
